The WRF BioCEPT Improvements Project includes installation of a biological and chemically enhanced primary treatment system for treating excess wet weather flow at the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF).
The project will include new influent channels, influent flow metering facilities, primary/BioCEPT flow splitter structure, BioCEPT influent structures, BioCEPT facilities and a BioCEPT building. As part of this project, the existing Storm Retention Tanks (used during peak flows for flow equalization) will be modified and the existing Decant Storm Water Detention Basin will be relocated.
• Additional fewature of the project will include:
• Storm water detention tank (relocation required to provide space for BioCEPT)
• Storm water pump station and proposed influent channel
• Structural moifications to the existing Storm Retention Tanks (SRT)
• Influent flow meter vault and primary /BioCEPT flow splitting chamber constructed on the north side of the SRT
• Re-purposing of existing overflow conduit through the Primary Settling Tanks for BioCEPT influent flow
• BioCEPT Facility including pipe gallery, mixing, chemical feed, tipping buckets and water cannons for tank cleaning and dewatering pump station: Concrete structure - 440’ x 200’ x 20’ to 30’ deep
• Auger cast piling supports for influent channel structures and soil anchors.
